pictures still arn't posting...sorry
Yesterday was awesome. We had a family day downtown Chicago. We went to see Alter Boys-- a play that made fun of a Catholic boy band. Zach and Beth just loved it. Jim and I would have never planned to see it, but it was included in our season tickets from last year, so we went. I think Julien liked it more than the Pirate Queen -- that is suppose to be the next big thing on Broadway for you non theater people.
What a great day-- no fights -- no little power plays-- none of the b.s. that I sometimes feel I have to deal with. The kids were great-- well maybe because Zach slept all the way in and couldn't carry on bugging his sister.
My hubby and I are starting to get back to a good balance. Part of it is me balancing out who I am. As it has been noted... even by some of my readers, I have a dark side. I haven't ever thought of it as bad-- it is just extremely intense-- intense to a point that well, it can take on a life of it's own if it is not controlled. There are some really awesome things about this side of me. You know, the side that sees things in dreams, the sixth sense, the part of me that just knows things about people. This side has passion, but it can also have rage. At one time it was hard to control. I am now calling this my DiVinci side ... why not put a positive spin on it?
It has taken me a long time to balance DiVinci with that other, God-fearing, part of me. I have leaned that every thing I am is a gift from God. I just have to decide how to use my gifts. Kind of like the whole Super Hero thing-- do I use my powers for good, or for evil?
One of the best moments this weekend came when my husband agreed to NOT go to a trance dance / concert with me & Julian. He would have had a miserable time there-- not his kind of music at all and he doesn't dance the way I do-- and he knows I just won't be able to let my hair down if I have to worry about him having a bad time. I love to dance to club music!!! Thanks Jim!
Oh by the way... He started a blog http://bim-staringoutinspace.blogspot.com. I don't know if it will really be his thing, but I give him credit for trying. Personally -- I think he needs to get a wrench and take apart a motorcycle... He finds that relaxing.
On to another subject...
Julien sent Jim on a mission to pick up a birthday gift for me. He drove 2 hours for it (that would be in Chicago somewhere-- I would guess) What could it be? It actually scares me a bit. Two men I know working together on a project that has something to do with me??
Warning Warning Danger Danger
If they worked together they could drain me of my powers! Ekkk. Could this be my downfall ? My personal krypotnite!!!! My only saving grace is I think they like my powers too much-- respectively.
