Not so great

I know my husband works hard and that he is a great man but this whole going to bed at 9 PM is going to drive me nuts. He use to stay up until 10 PM. Then we'd be asleep by 10:30. But now he is becoming this old crumugin about it all. I wake up at the same time he does, I stay up later and I seem to do fine.

Then there was the ride into the city yesterday. I don't mind driving, even if it is pouring down, sever thunderstorm watch, flooded streets weather. But does he have to comment on my driving, my wiper usage. What is up with that!

And there needs to be a law... If you are on your way to a rockin' concert, no folk music should be allowed in the car with out the express written consent of the driver. He put in the CD to "o brother where art thou". Now, it's not a bad CD but we were headed to the Lincoln Park Zoo to see Bad Examples and They Might Be Giants. I really don't want to hear 15 verses of You Are My Sunshine while driving on I90.

So I get him to turn on the radio and they announce that the show is sold out for tonight. I let out a Woo! And he complains about that. "That's nothing to be excited about, I hate going to sold out shows. They are too crowded"

As we pull in the parking lot, he gets the bag out of the trunk and starts to unpack it. I went to all the trouble of packing it an he disassebles it! What the hell? Why? I put it back together and offered to carry it, he wouldnt let me.

Errrrr... I knew at that point I would be drinking more beer than usual so that I would sleep the whole way home and denfinatly sleep so we wouldn't argue.

He keeps acting more and more like his dad. I really want to say something to him, but what good would it do. He gets into these moods and he gets out of them soon enough. But gees, we were going to a rocking sold out show!

Hey lady,
Enjoy his moods while he's here, 'cuz you never want to feel that you weren't the best for him and know that he was the best for you.
