The longest running festival in a Northern Midwest state. (aww... now you guys know where I am, sort of) will happen this weekend.
Things actually kicked off a few Weeks ago with the queen contest and the price and and prices contest.
My husband and I will help to run the big wheel event-- we unusually have about 100 kids participate in that. After that -- there is the bed race-- don't ask, I'm just going to put up a video when it is over-- otherwise you'll never get it.
Friday is the youth parade. Our Swiss son and the other exchange students are decorating the truck so they can be in it-- what fun.
Then we are off to volunteer our time at the church tent, the band march in the big parade and then it's off to about 4 different graduation parties.
It will be fun, busy, the way I like it.
Some time during all this I need to paint my living room. It is 90 and humid, so I don't know if that will happen this week, but I'll do my best.
All this keeps my mind off the other stuff-- but I do want to let you guys know I appreciate all your kind words and song suggestions. I'll tell you more about that later, right now, I need to make sure my kids have their music ready for the talent show on Sunday!

There's the occasional bed race where I live too. Better seen (or participated in) than explained!
