Ironic?

My life has been fully of irony as of late. Things happen, then the other thing happens and I am left with my thumb up my nose wondering what the hell happened!

Let's just review one simple day --- like ummm today-- that makes me feel like I've been catapulted back to about 1982, my sophomore year of high school.

Do you remember your sophomore year? My son is in his now and he reminds me -- during your sophomore you the world revolves around you and think universe is out to get you or in total sink with you... you are self absorbed and it is totally irrigable all about you. therefore, everything is life or death -- there is no bigger picture, no what the future may hold it is all bout right now and the hell or heaven you are in...

Yep, so if you will allow me to indulge in this bit of a pity party..I would surly appreciate it. And if not --- oh well I will just pretend I am 15/16 and it is all about me anyway!

So last night I decide to have a few beers -- and guess what, no buzz! Not at all! not even a little! I just felt full--- bummer.

This morning is my manditory day off, 'cause they cut the hours for us all at work.
Usually I would be out -- but I have no cash to go anywhere 'cause I have no money 'cause they cut our hours. (Now if that doesn't sound like high school, what does?)

Wake up this morning and the hubbie leaves---- going fishing on his day off, even though it is the same as mine and we never have time alone-- gone .... no nudge, no snuggle... just a peck on the cheek and out the door. I remember the days when if there was 10 minutes, well, anyway he is gone fishing.

I have a meeting at 1 PM with the boy's teachers, my son's advocate is late. She got pulled over for speeding. Wonder if that will be on my bill? No, I dont think she would charge me for that, but only because she is my sister!

So I decide to clean the wreck room downstairs. Go to vacuum --hmmm smells like something is burning. Open the thing up, clean up the belt and bag. Put it all back together -- still smell smoke -- it is the gears in the motor --- after an hour of working on it --- darn it.

Oh now my dad calls, he's coming with my sister for a little visit -- great, the rec room is torn apart and the rest of the house is well more lived in than my dad will appreciate!!! I should have started upstairs I guess...

but now it is too late cause I have to get ready for this *ucking meeting....

and how is your day going????
