Some times, after a good rant things get better.
And some times they don’t
It snows its ass off
There is a snow day
Everyone is home together
Some times, when it is cold
And there is snow
The wind blows
Your ears are cold
You need to shovel
It is white and bright
And better
Sometimes
When the sun shines
And when it doesn’t
You get to cook with your kids
You even get to eat what you cook

You have your good cry
And for a good reasonSomeone give you a hug
And asks if you are okay
And even if your not
Your better – better for the asking
It snows
It’s white
And it’s pure
You heal
Even if it’s just a little
The wine once again tastes sweet
Santa comes ridding into town on a convertible Chevy SSR
You eat mediocre food at a nice restaurant
Because someone knows you dont want to cook
You watch home movies—together
And you read the comments perfect strangers write
People DO understand
And the vodka tastes even better
And you sigh
And smile
And even though it is December, you give thanks.

Sweet. Yep, it does get better, sometimes even with a wallop of snow.
...especially in the snow.
It's clean and crisp and makes you feel alive...Pretty post cM!
I really hope you feel better...
And I hope you enjoyed the "beignets aux pommes", but obviously you did ;) *lol*
Love you...

That was nice. I absolutely hate the snow, and we haven't had any yet, but I think now when we do I will pause to enjoy the beauty for a moment. Until I have to drive on it.
Our snow didn't get to bad but it was fun...
The snow begins to fall in the late afternoon, maybe whipped by the wind; sleet stings the window panes. Eventually the lights dim once or twice. You go to bed, hoping... Hours later you startle awake, realizing that the radio didn't come on (the power is out) - or it did come on and is broadcasting the school closings!! Kids rise with an enthusiasm they could never muster for their bus driver or teacher. There is nothing more delicious than a snow day!
Wonderful images, wonderful thoughts, wonderful posting, City Mouse.
That looks like good eatin'...even got the Morton's! Awesome.
Bwahhahah...behold the power of a stranger standing in your kitchen scowling at people!
alabama rarely ever sees snow - a light dusting and the place shuts down for days - lovely words though CM
Great poem.
We get snow and we get cold...minus 35 celcius. We get WIND on those cold days too. My motorbike crys. I get mad. I don't like snow...I hate cold.

Coo. Those apple fritter look yummy.
Snow is fun to play in, but my favorite thing about snow is how it drives you indoors to the warmest place, wanting to drink hot chocolate, to play board games, to snuggle....I like that part of snow the best.
