I just wanted to let you know I have a new link on my sidebar. If you have not seen Ben's work, I suggest you pop over and take a look.
I've come to admire the honesty of his work.
A while back, Ben did a portrait and an interview with Mary Joyce, a digital activist. She isn't updating her old blog now because she it the New Media Manager for Barack Obama for America. Again, just some cool links that tend to slip under the mass media radar.
In my opinion, this is just the type of thing the Internet is for. Yes, I enjoy writing and reading personal blogs, but I really believe that social change can come with education and information and this is the place for it.
Perhaps the Internet is not JUST for porn
Perhaps the Internet is something more!
The presidential election is fast approaching. This election is important to me, now more than ever --considering my son's loss of hearing. The next president will help deiced the shape of world my son enters into when he is an adult. What will my son's health care be like? What about his educational opportunities? How about his ability to find a job or buy a home?
Mr. Obama -- feel free to use Zachary's name at your next conference when you answer questions regarding the next four years and the legacy you plan to leave (my) our children. And you don't have to worry, he REALLY IS a Boy Scout, he doesn't just play one on TV.
One last thing. I did watch the last debate and one of candidates talked about freezing federal spending. My question is why didn't we do that 7Billion dollars ago? It's a little late now! And really why dont we freeze spending on bailing out businsses instead of freezing spending so that the poor suffer, and health care becomes worse, and medicare becomes non exsistant. Sure--- freeze the poor that will help the world. It remindes me Scrooge "Let those poor go to the prisons and the Union workhouses, and if they would rather die, they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."
In the words of a great button I saw "Support our troops, we will need them for the revolution!"
