Well, it is time.

Time to reflect. It has been a long strange trip so far.

I talked to the Swiss son yesterday. Actually we talk on line about once a week. And even though he wont be here for the holidays, I am thankful we are now family. I really miss him. He was very helpful in the kitchen. But I hope he will think of us this Thursday.

I was trilled with he number of prayers / good thoughts / and love sent my way via my last blog post. It really means alot to me. I don't like asking for help, I like helping. But being humbled is a good thing.

My kids are home and healthy. So is my husband. So many families are separated because of war. War on our planet, wars in our homes and hearts. We have each other. All in good health.

We will have more to eat than most of the world has all year. Really, think about it.

We hare having our Oaxaca (pronounced Wa Ha Ka) family over. This is Juilian's friend Maria's family. Maria is not here, she is in Mexico. Her family and our family have become close. They will celebrate the thankfulness of friends and family with us on Thursday.

Wednesday evening, my hubby and I were going to go to the bar. We called a couple we enjoy socializing with to find out that before they head out to drink, they are helping at the community church service. So we will worship with them and then have fellowship --- Don't forget Jesus did turn water into wine!

Yep, things are not as good as they could be for my family. But we have so much. This weekend, we have a great deal to be thankful for.

By the way. I don't know about you guys but we have some traditions at our home

Lasagna
Turkey
Stuffing
Sweet Potatoes with brown sugar
Pumpkin Pie
Noodles cooked in chicken broth
Home made gravy

and this...
um I couldn't embed it, and it is a bit long, so be sure you have the time b4 you click it!!!

You should know that it's not Thanksgiving for The Spouse until he's heard "Alice's Restaurant". Excellent choice.

Have a great weekend, Mouse. I'm thankful for you!

We don't have thanksgiving in Australia, it being unique to the US of course... no equivalent either....there is Australia day 26th Jan,,, but its so hot then we all go to the town green in the evenings and listen to concerts and pretend we have no alcohol in our bags... then there are fireworks and citizen of the year awards (only for good little citizens not the likes of us all)...

nice to hear about your traditions.
