Hi everyone.
Thanks for stopping in.
Yes, I'm still here
And yes I am reading your blogs, just not commenting as much.

Funny we get busy, we don't blog/comment. We get creative and we go back to it. The blogger world is so forgiving that way.

Well anyway, I had to look at my Palm to tell me what day it was. I am working for that temp place. The work is simple, and a bit too slow at times. I may bring a journal with me today. Just to take notes on things that pass through my head while I am there. Being a greeter is easy. Hi. No, I'm new, you really want so and so to help you with that.

I work with 4 young men. It is very interesting to see how they think. They will give me some good blog stuff to work with I am sure. I actually think if the writer's strike continues I have some Saturday Night Live material here. But I will wait till the temp job is over before I do that!

I did something that may ruin my small town career. I gave up a seat on a local board. This board is well connected with the job I didn't get, so there will be talk that it was all sour grapes on my part. I wasn't. I am looking into taking a seat on a regional board that deals with child advocacy, not economic development.

It is cold and snowy out here. I wish i could wake up early to get more done. It seems I just want to sleep all day. Sad. I am not getting anything done like I thought i would with these hours of work.

I am getting ready for my Christmas movie fest-- I am looking for "It Happened One Christmas" with Marlo Thomas. If you have a copy, I'd be happy to pay you for shipping/ a tape/ what ever. Let me know! Ebbie -- with Susan Luci will be on Lifetime on Dec 17.

Oh Dec 17 my son turns 14 and is allowed his my space! Yep, I am a bad parent.

Oh Swiss son (who I really miss) has some new songs on you tube.

I am sure there is other stuff I wanted to tell you, but I haven't had coffee yet, and I need to take care of the snow in the driveway.

But one thing I wanted to mention.

Monica is right, I am a hippie.

As I do once in a while, I get some songs out on Youtube for the kids to see.

Well, I got out this one song, and then I played the cd, and then I had to get the movie.

And then my son tells me as they played the National Anthem in band class, he put down his clarinet,
sands up,
and in a loud voice
sings......

Oh say
can you see
my eyes
if you can
Then my hair 's too short!

I am lucky the music teacher is also a hippie!

I would love to see this musical updated and done locally. I came across this video and thought -- gee that is just how it should look for today.

I would kill to be in it! Maybe I can just live vicariously through my kids!

I have never seen that musical but would love to.

More than that, I would love to have more hair.
