I know it's not really professional to say, but I am worried about my job. And being that I am self employed, that is a big worry. The real estate market has really taken a down turn. I even spoke to someone in the big city, and they are having a tough go of it too! Customers are few and far between. Competition is fierce. And really, we as Realtors can only do so much. You can't force someone to list their home or buy from you. You cant make a client use you. You can't tell some one buy now because I don't know if I'll be able to pay the mortgage. Hey, at least I've learned that over the past 12 years.
I try to look at the bright side of things. So with that in mind, I will now list reasons to be grateful. Trust me, if this keeps up the tone will change and I'll be back on to the why- this- job sucks -routine.
It's a good thing it's slow because...
I have time to paint the house.
I have time to walk with the kids.
I don't have to work with nasty people.
If you do the right thing by people, the money always comes.
I have time to work on scrap booking (not that I have ever done that)
I have time to up date my data base
I can concentrate on getting new business
I can take a course or read on how to improve myself
I have time to re write my ads to make them more productive
I have time to practice my guitar
My kids wont have to put my face on a milk carton
I write more in my blog
I can start a new blog about real estate
I can practice on my roller blades
I can practice my harmonica
I can work on new recipes
I can enjoy the slow times, because I know I am good at what I do, and when someone needs me I will be available to help them and then I will get paid.
Self talk is a wonderful thing, when used as directed.

hey lady,
Don't sweat or worry "God" or as I say the universe will work it all out. Also you're too "special"!
