Sucked In

I've been at my "job" for almost a full year now, an it is happening.

They are sucking me in.

You see, a job is just that, a job.

It is a cube and a way that we have always done it and a group of people who really don't want to be there.

When I started I was so happy and trilled to have real work, and real insurance-- considering it had been over 6 months since I had had a sale and my major clients were frustrated with the market and took it out on me rather than waiting the market out -- took it out on me by firing my ass. Not that anyone else sold any of their properties--- but someone has to take the fall and it is usually the honest one.

Now, here we are a year latter and I am bitching like the other girls as apposed to looking at the bright side. I just don't see a whole lot of movement in this place, or in any place in this economy.

So what am I going to do?

Well I have a couple of choices.

1. I could quit
2. I could join the masses and the asses and bitch and complain
3. I could work harder at my other job (real estate) and try to get it going again
4. I could take advantage of the security and go back to school to earn a degree
5. I could not spend as much time with the "team" and work on getting my smile back and doing my job better than ever.

I like the last 3 the best. I think this week I will into the company tuition reimbursement plan. I am going to work on getting letters out to past clients and renters about buying homes. And I am going to read something positive.

Also... I am going to be giving a review soon on the hottest place in Chicago fine dining L20.... unless someone pays me off....

:) I don't resolve ... I intend....

The best we can do in this crappy economy,is try to come up with a plan to deal with it.
Sounds like you may be on the right track Mouse.

For something positive to read, I recommend something by Dr. Dyer--maybe "There's a Spiritual Solution to Every Problem." (See my blog--sorry, I'm obsessed. *grin*)

You made an excellent choice, the bitchers and moaners and whiners and complainers will still be there if you change your mind but I doubt you will. Sometimes all it takes is a decision and then watch out things start to happen.

You could maybe become a contractor and work for fixed amounts of time for a lot more money?
Works for me.
Hop all is well with you and yours
