It started as a joke. Sometimes I think most of the worlds best ideas start out that way. Shawn and I were in a meeting regarding our town's milestone celebration. Each community group had to come up with an idea or event to help celebrate the passing years of our community.
As we waited in the meeting "Bob" kept interjecting with a story. They were great stories of days gone by. Filled with humor and love. And then I opened my big mouth.
"Someone should film this"
"yah" Shawn added.
"That's what we should do"
"Okay, you tell them"
And so it began. Getting the names have been hard. People can be very reluctant to talk. They don't want to boast. But I'm on a quest to get to the stories of my town. Not where I grew up, but the place that my kids will always call home and the place I have grown to love.
