Is it just me?

I take my volunteer work very seriously. Silly, perhaps, but I think of it as a job and also I try to put it into a global perspective. You know, I help this one, this one helps that one, that one helps another and some how the whole world is effected. Yah, fool hearted I know, but I can't help myself.

triumphs seem few and far between lately, but I do enjoy them when they come. Through Rotary, I am trying to put together a video archive of stories about this small town I live in. The newspaper was very little help with promoting it, but some how, word is getting around. I am hoping we will get more people interested in telling their stories. It warms my heart to see people who care so greatly about our community.

On the other hand-- sometimes people in business can be very cold hearted. Trying to get paper bags for a food drive is becoming a job in itself. Why, I know why, money. They cost money. Well next year I'll print the bags with my picture on them and maybe we wont have this problem!
