With the wide range of colors, the Sharpie can take the mundane and turn it into a field of wildflowers.  It can tattoo your arm without the pain.  It can write poetry,  love letters, or threats. it all depends on the mood of the one who holds the Sharpie.  It can defile a wall, color your gymshoe, or get a  rock star's autograph on a play list -- heck, it is the play list!

To spite Facebook, and Twitter, and our smart phone apps, nothing quite makes the same point as a black Sharpie on a white piece of  notebook paper.
