Refecting on life

Well, yes, another birthday.

I don't mind getting older. In fact it is kind of neat to think I have made it as long as I have.

I started to refect on life. This wasn't a milestone birthday or anything. I just feel older now that I have succumb to the working for someone else. So looking back, here are some things I think I think...

You need to have a much sex as you can while you are young. Not that you shouldn't have sex when you are old. It is just that so much comes your way when you are young and you are all hung up on the emotions and the right thing and the knight in shining armor -- yea-- to hell with the fairy bull shit. Have sex, & lots of it. Don't go out to hurt anyone and be safe -- but geesss don't pass up the opportunity to have sex! 'Cause trust me there will come a time when the opportunities are just not there-- for a variety of reasons!

The celebration of one's life shouldn't be a yearly thing -- it should be a daily thing. You need to be glad you are alive every day. How to you celebrate? Smile! Yep, just smile. It really does work to make for a better mood and a better world. I love it when I smile and people have to look away or scowl -- ha on them!!!! They are not celebrating. If you are vertical, you are a head of the game (um horizontal isn't bad either --see above).

Believe there is more than you. Ok, I know a great many bloggers who don't like or don't believe in "God". Some don't because of Christianity-- others because of how fucked up the world is-- but let me tell you this -- if you have ever seen a baby being born, if you have ever flown in a plane and looked down at the earth from above, if you have ever loved, you got to believe there is more to this place than us screwed up humans. If you only believe in yourself, I think you limit yourself. A teenager thinks they are the center of the universe -- move past that! There is so much out there --so much more powerful than you and I. And there is so much you can't control -- don't believe me? Try to stop the wind. Believe in something bigger! Me, I believe in God, I was created in God's image I am flawed and will never be perfect in my own eyes -- but there is my God who loves me anyway. Find your faith, and make it bigger and better than you.

Sometimes, people leave you because they know it is time for you to step up. Be ready to step up. It isn't easy to say goodbye and it is harder to do so AND step up, but when it is time -- do it.

Don't let the world make up your mind. Make up your own mind and then go out and try to change the world. Ok, you may not be able to change even one mind -- but with that kind of determination who knows what you can accomplish. At least you will be following your own path.

Old friends know you and like you anyway. Be open to new friends too. You cant have too many friends -- even if you do hit the lottery!

Let you feeling flow. Sometimes you cant do that with certain people -- but then write or sing or paint -- there is an artist inside and those emotions are awesome-- let them out!!! You will be surprised how may supporters you may find along the way and who you my touch (yep I'm back to the sex thing)
